Mapcrap!
The smelliest community mapmaking contest has returned in 2024, and this time, we mean business! Organized primarily by Veeq7, this content initiative is designed as a way to provide more experiences for the playerbase, while rewarding the authors who do the best work.
Our January 2024 event's prize pool is: $125
Our January 2024 contributors are: lucifirius ($50), Veeq7 ($25), 3crow ($25), Juniper ($25)
Contributions to this prize pool can be made via Paypal to pronogo@hotmail.com, or through our ko-fi page. Please note that ko-fi takes a small percentage of your donation, as does Paypal.
Please leave us a note saying that it is for the prize pool!

Ready yourself Cosmonarchs, as this is the return of Mapcrap! It's been long time coming, it's the first Mapcrap in such a rich development environment as modern Cosmonarchy, and the first one with a cash prize! You have time till the end of January to deliver the stinkiest of craps.
To get you starting with something simple, the theme is: Fun & Innovative
The rules are simple:
The details of the current voting system are not fully known yet, since it may need adjustment depending on the amount of participants. The current idea is that organizers (me & Pr0nogo) get 3 votes, prize pool donors get up to 2 votes, and community people get 1 vote (the OGs, high skill players, etc). We will likely investigate a better voting system in the future after seeing how this one works out (See: Pr0totype #39 for more info). We as the organizers reserve the right to break ties. Participants with votes must not vote for their own submission.
To get you starting with something simple, the theme is: Fun & Innovative
The rules are simple:
- Use Cosmonarchy as your base -- we have experienced this as THE custom RTS platform so far, going back to BW or other games is out of scope currently.
- Both Scenarios and Melee are allowed -- UMS is questionable, not something we have allowed in the past, but as long as you think it can appeal to the audience it's probably fine.
- Teams are allowed, prize money will be split evenly by default, unless the given team agrees on something different. One submission per team.
- Winners will be chosen by a weighted voting system.
